Network Tasman Trust is a consumer trust that holds shares in Network Tasman Limited on behalf of consumers located in the wider Tasman and Golden Bay area, including Murchison and areas north of Nelson. These consumers are the Trust's beneficiaries, as defined in the Trust Deed established when Network Tasman was formed in 1993.
The Trust uses the income from the shareholding to provide benefits to consumers, allocate grants and scholarships, and monitor the company's performance.

Network Tasman Trust was created as a result of the 1990s government restructuring of the electricity industry to represent the interests of consumers.
COMMUNITY GRANTS
Each year the charitable trust provides grants to help community groups and individuals to make a positive impact in our communities.

Scholarships are awarded to students going to study at tertiary level who display academic, cultural and/or sporting excellence and leadership skills.
